Thatai

Thatai is a traditional dish, we South Indians, usually prepare for festivals, especially the Krishna Jayanthi festival.
This time around the thatai's came very well, hence I thought I would record the recipe :-)

Savory mini rice balls, steamed and tempered with mild spices... May be this phrase acts as definition for the Ammini Kolukatai.... or mini kolukatai :-)

Babycorn Seasoned

Well.. the title of the dish goes in par with the process as I have only seasoned the babycorns with some handful of ingredients.
An alternative to the deep fried recipe. Yet yields in an equivalent yummy taste.

Egg Bonda

All the time before I had restricted the besan oil fried bajjis with the Vegetables availbale..
The eggs were really tempting me to try out the Egg Bonda of typical Palakad road side shops :-)

Chatpat Masala Puffed Rice

Left only with the puffed rice as the option to cope up with the evening snack, and a rough reminder of the left over home-made Sev, I quickly zeroed in on the Masala version to combine both the puffed rice and the sev to munch on over hot Chai.
And as well loved by the kids.

Chilli Bajji

After a long time, I had an oppurtunity to purchase the Bajji Chilli. And the chill weather added to the glamor of the bulgy spicy chilli bajjis.

Salt Seedai / Uppu Seedai

Krishna Jayanthi festival brings immense pleasure to me, as I consider my 2 little boys to be Krishnas :-)
So do I make all the ' Palaharam ' loved by God Krishna.
And these Salt Seedais also are 1 among them.
Initial years, I had struggle lots while making them, as they will become soggy, soft or not crunchy.
Took many years before I got them perfectioned.
The recipe below is my success portion for the cruncy cruk cruk cruk Salt Seedais :-)
Wishing all Happy Krishna Jayanthi.

Shakarkandi Palak ki Kebab

The Sweet Potatoes are very popular among the children. Hence a generous hidden component of Palak will not be noticed by them :-)
