All the time before I had restricted the besan oil fried bajjis with the Vegetables availbale..
The eggs were really tempting me to try out the Egg Bonda of typical Palakad road side shops :-)
Items Required:
Eggs - as many as you want
Besan Flour - 1 cup
Salt - as per taste
Turmeric Powder - a pinch
Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
Perungayam Powder - 1/4 tsp
Method:
To start with, a thorough boiling of the eggs is mandate.
Once the eggs are boiled enough, peel off the skull, thereby taking out the shiny white eggs.
In a bowl, mix together all the powders mentioned ( except Pepper Powder ) along with the flour.
Add in enough water and make a very thick consistency batter.
Heat enough oil to fry the bondas in a kadai.
Slice the eggs carefully.
Sprinkle a generous dash of pepper powder on the cut sides.
Immerse them straight into the thick batter.
Fry them until they are golden color.
These Egg Bondas are a real rich companion for hot Tea :-)
