The garlic rasam gets too tempting to taste, a the aroma will urge your hunger and will bring you on the Dining Table in no time :-)
Ingredients :
Garlic - 1 big size full round ( around 15 garlic pods )
Tamarind - small lemon sized
Green Chilli - 3
Pepper Corns - 1 tbsp
Red Chillie - 1
Curry Leaves - Few
Tomato - 1 small sized
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Method :
- To a 1 spoon oil of your choice, add Garlic around 8, Green Chilli, Pepper Corns, Cumin Seeds and saute for a while.
Let it cool, and make into fine or coarse powder of your preference.
- Squeeze out the Tamarind juice, and the grinded powder into it.
- Add in enough salt, and a pinch of turmeric powder.
- In a pan, add 3 tbsp coconut oil, splutter mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chillies and the remaining crushed garlic.
Add this mixture into the rasam portion.
- Allow for 1 boil.
- Add 1 tbsp Perungayam powder.
- Garnish with lots Coreander leaves.
