Dal fry is my personal favourite either for the Juicy Jeera rice or White rice.
Today a twist from the usual and diverting towards a little extended version- Dal Tadka
Ingredients Reqd:
Moong Dal - half cup
Chic Pea Dal - quarter cup
Boil these dals together with enough water ( say 2 cups).
Make sure you add half a sp of salt and 1/4 sp of turmeric while boiling.
Let them cool down.
Seasoning:
Curry Leaves - 5
Green chillies ( slit) - 2
Red Chilli Powder - 1sp
Jeera seeds - 1/2 sp
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 sp
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Season the Mustard and Jeera seeds and add all the above mentioned
and allow to fry for 5 mins.
This seasoning should happen in butter.
Pour the sesoning on dal just before serving.
