Rice Jaggery Rolls

Looking at the title of the dish, you cant categorize this as some Western food :-)
In and out, totally  a South Indian delight...
Rolls are just side - titled to attract the kidoos.

You Need :

Rice Flour - 1 cup
Jaggery - 1 cup
Elachi Powder - 1 tbsp
Coconut - Qtr Cup Grated
Plantain Leaf - Few

Method :

Wash the plantain leaves and slit them length - wise.
Soak them in hot water for 5 minutes.
Soak the chopped jaggery in water and allow the water to boil until the Jaggery dissolves.
Now keep the rice flour ready in a wide pan mixed along with elachi powder and
grated coconut.
Pour the jaggery water into the rice flour mixture, into a sieved tray so, if any impurities
in the jaggery, they will get away.
Pour this Jaggery water little by little, so at the same time you are mixing the rice flour
using a spatula.

Make a slighter loose dough than the chapathi dough.
Now roll the dough and place on the greased plantain leaves.
Fold them.
Allow these to get steamed for some 20 minutes.
The less-sweet, thick rice jaggery rolls are ready.
Can be considered as a Chai snack :-)
