Kurma is a superb side dish for, be it the Idlis, Dosas, Chapathis or Puris..
The multidimensional kurma is made with aloo.. or any vegetable for that matter.
Here I am restricting my veggie portion with the Matar or so called Green Peas..
Ingredients Required :
- 1 medium sized Onion
- 1 medium sized Tomato
- Few Curry Leaves
- A tsp of dry Spices
- A cup of Green Peas
- Few Green Chillies
- Few Coconut strands
- 1 tsp of Soanf Seeds
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of Turmeric Powder
Preparation Time - 10 minutes
Cook Time - 10 minutes
Method :
Peel off the green peas and wash them properly.
In a pan, add 1 tbsp Oil and season the spices, onion, tomtaoes and peas.
Add salt and turmeric powder and close the lid.
I want the green peas also to get immersed with the above flavors.
Now, bring together the coconut, green chillies and soanf seeds in a mortar,
Add required water and grind to a very fine paste.
Add this paste into the seasoned pea - onion portion .
Add half cup of water.
Wait until 1 boil comes in.
Switch off the flame.
Add finely chopped coriander leaves.
