Plum Cake


The home made Plum Cake is an absolute treat :-)
Very simple yet yields a grand dish to celeberate or even to gift.














The ingredients list to very simple items as:

All purpose flour - 1 cup
Baking Powder - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 1 cup
Butter - 3 tbsp
Milk - enough to make as thick dough
Salt - a pinch
Vanila Essence - 1 tsp
Egg - 1
And the most important ingredient is a collection of chopped dry fruits soaked in a red wine or rum for almost as many days possible. I soaked for 3 weeks.
The more the soaked, the more yummier the taste will be.

Method:

As usual, to mix the flour, baking powder,sugar, butter,  milk, salt, and well - beaten egg.
Mix well.
Add in the dry fruits portion and vanila essence.
Give a gentle stir.
 
Pre heat the Oven to 180 deg C.
Grease an oven safe baking dish and dust the flour and pour in the cake mixture.
Set the temp to 180 deg C and bake the cake for 5 mins or until well baked.
 
The trick as always again, to insert a fork or knife and to check if they come out sans any wetness.
