Oreo Cream Cookies


I had this temptation to bake some Oreo Cookies..
It happened that, my kid was required to take some Oreo biscuits as part of Black & White day event in his School..
The opportunity was too tempting. And I started to think to make some Oreo on my own.
I had this challenge of the Cream stuffed in between the cookies.
After several minutes of thought process, I decided to make my own Fondant and place them stuffed in the place of the cream portion.



To start with the Cookies :

The ingredients goes as -

* 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter
* 1-1/4 Cup Flour
* 1/2 Cup Sugar
* 1/2 tsp Salt
* 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
* 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
* 1 tsp Vanila Essence



Start on to keep the butter in room temperature.
And into the butter, goes the Sugar, and after a beating of 3 minutes, goes in the Vanila Essence.
The salt and the flour and the baking powder are mixed well, and added into the sugar butter portion.
An egg also can be complimented into the portion of the sugar butter portion or can be just ignored.
Mix well.



And make a dough and store in fridge for 1 hour.
Spread the dough, shape them into cookie shapes.
In a pre heated Oven, bake the cookies at 180 Deg C for 8 to 10 minutes.



Then comes the interesting preparation of the Fondant.
I decided to make the fondant using the Marshmallows.

Ingredients :

10 small Marshmallows pieces
1 cup Icing Sugar
Vanila Extract
Corn Syrup

Its just as simple as it - Microwave the marshmallows adding 1 small drop of water for 30 seconds.
                                      Now the marshmallows will be really mushy.
                                      Add in the icing sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and keep mixing them.



                                      Until a fine dough is formed.
                                      Now the dough can be spread and shaped into desired shapes.



                                      I spread them into small circles and stuffed in between 2 cookies.
                                      A miniature brushing of the milk onto the fondant circles help them glued in
                                       between the cookies.
