Bhindi Salan - Lady Finger Gravy


Bhindi Salan is quite an interesting dish. Can be paired with Rotis / Chapathis.
My vegetables case was empty and had only few Bhindis. I wanted to make some gravy for dinner.
But how with Bhindi???? 
The experiment went good and received good remarks by my people.

Requirements:

Bhindi - Handful / Qtr kilo
Onion - 2
Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
Coreander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Jeera Powder - 1/3 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
Kasthuri Methi - 1/3 tsp
Cream - 2 tbsp

Method :

Diagonal slit the bhindis to a 1 - inch thickness.
Fry them in hot oil.
Keep aside.
Take a pan, heat 2 tbsp oil, Add in the fried onion paste.


Add in all the raw powders, and let the gravy cook for few mins.
Add in the fried bhindis as well.
Off the stove, add in the cream and crushed Kasthuri Methi.

The simple, yet rich and colorful Bhinidi Salan is ready.
