This rice, popularly named as 'Thaengapal sadham' in TN, is the most favourite food
for me especially when prepared by my mom.
Ingredients Reqd:
1 cup Basmati Rice
1 cup water
Bay Leaf - 1
Cardamom - 2
Cinnamon stick - 1
cloves -2
green chillies - 4
green peas - a cup
Process:
Take the milk of the coconut.
Soak the rice for an hr maximum.
In a pressure pan, add 2sp oil and saute sliced onions.
Add the dry spices mentioned above.
Add the rice and 1 cup coconut milk and 1 cup water.
Add salt.
Mix well.
Allow to cook in sim for 10 mins.
Yummy, rich Coconut milk rice is ready. Any chilli fries will be apt for the side dish.
