This is gonna be yet another version of the Nei soru version I have already posted in my blog.
Very slight modifications are made here and the result is amazing.
Prep Time : 10 minutes
Cooking TIme : 10 minutes
Serves : 2
Ingredients Required :
Basmati Rice : 1 cup
Cashew nuts and Raisins - Handful
Cinnamon : 1 stick
Cloves - 3
Cardamom - 2
Mace - 2
Star Anise - 1
Onion - 1
Green Chilli - 2
Ghee - 5 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Steps :
* Wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes.
* Chop the onion, and brown fry1 half of onion. Keep aside.
* Fry cashewnuts and raisins. Keep aside.
* In a pressure cooker, pour in the ghee and add in all the dry spices.
* Add the rest half of chopped onion, salt and ginger garlic paste.
* Saute till the onions become golden color.
* Strain the rice and add into the onions and season for a minute.
* Pour 2 cups water, check salt and cook in slow mode for 10 minutes.
* Wait till the pressure release out.
* Transfer to a serving dish.
* Garnish on top with fried cashewnuts and onions.
The awesome Nei Soru is ready.
My Tip: Can increase the amount if ghee if you really crave for a rich Nei Soru.
