Thinai Payasam

I was in great excitment to make this sweet payasam as I have been hearing for quite a while that the Thinai Payasam will be tasting awesome.
And yes, I thoroughly enjoyed the taste :-)


Item Required :

Thinai - 1/2 cup
Javvarisi - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Milk 1 and half cup
Elachi, Cashews, Raisins, Ghee - just enough to garnish

Method :

  • Wash the Thinai and Javvarisi thoroughly and add enough water say 3 cups and pressure cook them.
  • Keep the stove in sim, add sugar and milk and keep stirring until the mixture gets little thick.
  • Sprinkle elachi powder.
  • Ghee roast Cashews and Raisins and garnish on top.
