Methi Pulao & Sweet Potato Salad


A health & tasty package of Methi Pulao & Sweet Potato Salad... Yum Yum Yum is for sure :-)





You Need:

Methi Leaves - Half cup
Onion - 1 Medium Size
Tomato - 1 Medium Size
Red Chilli Powder - 1tsp
Coreander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1tsp
Fennel Seeds - 1tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
Basmati Rice - 1 cup
Ginger & Garlic - Chopped as per preference
Salt - to taste

Process:

Soak the rice for 1 hour.
In a pan, saute the onions, ginger & garlic with salt.
Once the onions turn translucent, add the tomatoes and the chopped methi leaves.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder & garam masala powder.
Allow until the tomatoes turn mushy.
Add the rice and 2 cups water and allow until the rice is cooked to the correct consistency.

Serve hot with the below mentioned Sweet Potato Salad.

You have to boil the sweet potato( with salt & tumeric pdr) until they are well soft.
Mash them with palm.
Add a pinch of chat masala powder.
Pour in the seasoned oil of mustard seeds and curry leaves.

The salad is ready to go with the rice:-)
