Kaara Bhoondhi:

Ingredients Reqd:
For the Bhoondhis:
1 and half cup Gram Flour
1 cup water
1 sp red chilli powder
Salt as per requirement


Process:

Pour water into gram flour and make a batter.
Batter should be neither thick nor loose.
Take the bhoondhi ladle and pour in the batter into hot oil.
Fry for few secs and take away the fried bhoondhis into the sugar syrup.

To make the Bhoondhis more interesting, saute curry leaves and a handful of peanuts.
Add these bhoondhis and fry for 5 more mins...

Looks savvyyy......

 

Laddoos.. Hurray....


Wanted a quick try on the traditonal laddoos.. Yes cooking ofcourse.

Ingredients Reqd:
For the Bhoondhis:
1 and half cup Gram Flour
1 cup water

For the Sugar Syrup:

2cups sugar ( if you are sweet toothe else 1 and quarter/ 1 and half)
Powdered Cardamom - 1sp
Chopped almonds to garnish
Few petals of Saffron.
1 cup water

Process:
Immerse the sugar in water and allow to boil ( in sim)
Put the cardamom powder.
Keep stirring till the syrup goes thick.
1 string consistency would be enough

Meantime pour water into gram flour and make a batter.
Batter should be neither thick nor loose.
Take the bhoondhi ladle and pour in the batter into hot oil.
Fry for few secs and take away the fried bhoondhis into the sugar syrup.

When all bhoondis are done, and the sugar bhoondhi syrup goes little chill
make balls.
Place chopped almonds on the laddoos...

They are ready for the party now.

 

Bisi bisi BelaBath :-)










Hello Everyone
Want a full meal menu but not in the right mood to cook??

Then the answer is Bisibelabath, atleast according to me.

Ingredients Reqd:

Small onions - Handful
Vegetables - cut as little big ones ( brinjal, carrot, beans)
Rice - 1 cup
Toor Dal - 3/4th cup

Cook all the above ingredients together adding salt and turmeric powder.
Approx, say, 4 and half cups water will be reqd.

To Dry Roast:

Urad dal - 1 sp
Bengal Dal - 1sp
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 sp
Red chillies- 6, 7 nos
Coreander seeds - 2 sp
Grated coconut - 3 sp

Dry roast all the above ingredients.
And grind them to a coarse powder.( no water should be added while grinding)
Need them as fine powder.

Soak a big lime size tamarind in warm water and take its extract.

Now coming to the complete portion:

Along with the cooked rice and vegs, add the grinded powder and tamarind extract.
Allow to cook for some 15more mins.

Saute mustard, curry leaves and season on the dish.
As well add the chopped coreander leaves.

A full course Bisibelabath is ready. Eat with pappads..
