Butter Naan

The majestic Indian Bread , the Butter Naan had been always a big hit for me as the consistency of the dough have always comes in perfect.. :-) thereby helping me to get the right softness and thickness of a superb butter naan to dine with :-)

All we need is :

All purpose flour - 2 cups
Milk - 1/2 cup
Curd - 1 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Yeast - 1tbsp
Sugar - 2 tbsp

Method:

Start by placing the yeast in a vessel. Pour in quarter cup of warm water.
To this, add in sugar and salt.
Let the yeast soak well.

Now, add the flour and give a gentle stir.
Pour in milk little by little, add curd.
Start kneading the dough until the dough gets into a sticky-mushy consistency.
Cover the dough and leave for a minimum of 3 hours.
The dough expands in size, thanks to the yeast and as well becomes soft, thanks to the milk and curd,.

Make balls, and gently press in and out the dough and give a gentle spread with your palm.
Heat a tawa, place the spread and sprinkle few drops of oil.
Turn over to the other side and wait until the spread puffs up and leaves black and brown spots ideal for a perfect cooked naan.
Graceful tbsp of butter on it and there goes in the hot hot, yet soft soft, perfect tasty Butter Naan :-)
