Spinach Fries


Generally I do not purchase Spinach that often. Happened to buy a bunch of Spinach from my local market as they looked very fresh.
Thought to make a nice recipe out of them and was forunate enough to make them crisp fried.
The delight is my little boys loved them lots and ate happily.









Ingredients :
Spinach - a bunch
Rice Flour - 2 tbsp
Besan Flour - 4 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Turmeric - a pinch
Onion - 1



Method :

  • Wash the Spinach leaves without tearing them. Pat on a dry napkin. Cut off the stem.

  • Mix together all the other powders and make into a thick consistency batter with the help of water.
  • Chop the onions finely.
  • Spread the leaf wide. Pour a tsp of the batter and top the onions.
  • Fold them finely.

  • Generously spread the batter on the folded leaf and dip in hot oil.
  • Fry until they are crisp.
