Popularly called as manga curry this is a variety of instant pickle.
With the name, at first, i thought it will be a liquid curry for rice :-)
Requirements:
1 large manga..
Red chilli pdr - 2tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Gingelly oil - 6 tbsp
Method:
Chop the manga into very thin pieces.
Add all the powders.
In a small pan heat the gingelly oil and splutter mustard seeds.
Pour on chopped manga.
Mix well.
Ideal pickle for all lunch varieties.
